My Brow Routine with Evian Facial Spray

My Brow Routine with Evian Facial Spray on Monogrammed Magnolias

I’ve always been self conscious of my brows. I had an accident when I was little that left me with scar tissue behind my right brow. So naturally I’ve spent countless hours in meaningless worry over them. That’s before brows even became a thing too. I never found anyone I trusted enough to wax my brows because I worried (yet again) about the special precautions around my scar. In college, with Cara Delevingne all the rage, I decided to take matters into my own hands and get an at-home waxing kit. My life was forever changed.

Now, I’m no professional but I’ve had years of practice so I thought now would be a good time to share my “perfect” brow routine as well as a few tips and tricks.

Step 1: Prep

First things first, gather everything you’ll need. I use the MOOM Organic Eyebrow Shaping Kit (under $10 and lasts so long!) which includes a squeezable tube of wax, reusable fabric strips, and wooden applicators. Throw in a pair of great tweezers (I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills ones but only because they came in a kit. They’re amazing though!), a spoolie, an extra compact mirror, and my secret weapon, Evian Facial Spray!

After you’ve gathered everything you need, the next thing to do is wash your face! You don’t want any makeup, dirt, or oil to get in the way. It could prevent the wax from adhering properly. To ensure everything’s good to go, I use a bit of Evian Facial Spray. Paired with a cotton pad, this hydrating facial spray delivers powered micro-droplets of pure Evian® natural spring water. That helps to clean my brows and the surrounding area without adding extra product or oil to my skin.

Step Two: Get Cha Wax On

Now on to the main event. I like to warm up the wax a bit by rolling the tube around in my hands. My body heat warms the wax so that it’s easier to work with. That’s a whole lot better than hot wax in my opinion. Once it’s all warmed up that’s when the real fun begins. Like I said before, I’ve been doing this a while so I know what sort of shape I’m looking for from the get-go. If you’re just starting you might want to begin by mapping out the shape you want before applying the wax.

You map out your shape just as this picture shows. You can us a pencil, eyeshadow brush, or a wooden applicator from the wax kit. It’s all about lining up with your facial features, don’t let it scare you.

Now is time to break out the wax. I love how easy this particular wax is to apply. It’s a sugar wax so if you mess up, all you have to do is wipe it away with a bit of water. To apply, just squeeze a bit of wax out and spread directly onto the area, going with the hair growth (downward). Then I use the wooden applicator to smooth the fabric strip across the wax. When you’re ready, pull against the hair growth (upward). If you’re sensitive to inflammation or redness, like me, you can try taking an ibuprofen 30 minutes before waxing to help.

Step 3: The Finishing Touches

When I’m all done with the wax there are usually some stray hairs hanging around so that’s when I go in with the tweezers. It’s no fun but it gets the job done…rhyme not intended but let’s go with it. After all that, I’ll come back to my Evian Facial Spray and handy cotton pad to wipe away any excess wax.

That’s all there is to it! Much better than having to deal with crazy professional prices or judgey eyes when you know you’ve let your brows get too far out of control. It really is like a #AnytimeSpa, especially with the addition of the Evian Facial Spray. By the way, Evian is my secret weapon for more than just brows.

I use Evian Facial Spray before applying face masks and after applying my night balm as the balanced mineral content and micro-droplet mist allows my skin to better absorb hydration from those products. It also comes in handy while traveling as a quick refresh for makeup, hair, and body. I even use the spray while applying my makeup for fun foiling effects with eyeshadow or to even everything out for a more natural, finished look.

Additionally, Evian and I are partnering to offer a giveaway where 20 lucky winners will receive (1) 10 oz. professional size and (1) 5 oz travel size bottle (suggested retail $30.00) of Evian Facial Spray! All you have to do to enter is…

  1. I love my evian spray! I still have the same bottle I got in my Christmas stocking about 3 years ago and it’s my go to for make-up prep and setting. It’s great for travel, too!

  2. It sounds like a cool product! I wish I had a better brow routine… I’m usually the wax once every other month and tweeze occasionally kind of gal.

  3. I had a couple really bad experiences with eyebrow waxing and now just have natural ones. My little sister is on a mission to get me to do my eyebrows, but I’m just not convinced. If I were to do this, I would definitely use this kit!
