Hey, guys! It’s been a hot minute since we last talked, like a whole month actually. Crazy!
Wanna know what’s even crazier? All the changes that have been happening around here lately!
I hope that by now you’ve noticed the new name up top. That’s right, this blog is now known as…
Surprise! I know it’s a little anticlimactic but the whole thing was unexpected even for me.
At the end of November I got an email from a company I am currently working with saying that they couldn’t actually find my blog anywhere. Well, needless to say that freaked me out quiet a bit. I immediately ran to my computer to check things out since I had been pretty much MIA since the start of the holiday season. I typed in monogrammedmagnolias.com like always and…nothing. That started this whole whirlwind of insane technical difficulties that are honestly too boring to get into but the solution ended up being a new domain. Hence the quick name change.
I’ve been bouncing around the name Magnolia Moon for a while now. It started out as a fun name I used to sell jewelry I made at my mom’s antique store and now it’s grown into something I completely adore. Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers and really represent my southern roots while keeping a bit of that Monogrammed Magnolia spirit around. The moon, well, the moon is everything! Honestly, I have this weird attraction/connection to the moon and have since I was a little kid so bringing that into the name means a lot to me.
With a new names comes a new vibe, new post topics, new content! This is going to open a whole new chapter for me as well as you, my audience!
There are plenty more changes coming to Magnolia Moon very soon. I hope you’ll stick around to see them all come to fruition. It’s gonna be a fun ride, I promise!
So, I’ve been looking for a new blogging camera because I’m just sick of the crappy quality of pictures from my phone.
However, I’m a true blue Libra and therefore am highly indecisive so I need your help making a choice. Let me know in the comments which camera you think I should pick! It would mean so much to me if I had the help of my lovely Magnolias.
This camera made me believe in love at first sight. It’s so classic looking but has the awesome added features of a flip up screen and built in WiFi. With 20.3 megapixels it has the options of a 16-50mm power zoom or 20-50mm compact zoom, which to be perfectly honest I don’t actually understand what that means. I even think this camera is the one that Gabby from velvetgh0st uses to daily vlog. The only thing I don’t absolutely love about this camera is the price tag. It’s around $500, which is just not exactly in my price range at the present moment. Is that too much to ask Santa for though?
FUN FACT: I just realized that all the cameras I narrowed down for this list are Samsungs so way to go, Samsung!
As you can see, this camera is a lot like the first. It’s got that great vintage, leather feel but still modern looking which I love. However, this pick is only capable of 16.3 megapixels and features a 21x optical zoom. The best thing about this camera is the definitely the price. At just $172 it’s a steep fall from the above pick.
At only $90 this is definitely the most affordable option. I like the sleek look and the WiFfi capabilities but I’m afraid that the 5x zoom might not be enough for what I want to do.
This post has helped already but I would still really like to hear your thoughts and opinions, especially if you own any of these cameras so don’t forget to leave a comment below.
until next time,
